Do I need to create an account to use VideoTextCopy?
No. When you purchase or sign up for a trial, your license key is sent directly to your email. Simply paste it into the extension — no registration, no passwords, and no friction required.
What counts as one "use"?
Each successful text or code extraction request counts as exactly one use. Browsing webpages, adjusting settings, or managing extraction history will never consume your monthly quota.
How many devices can I use under a single license?
Each license is tied to a single user for personal use across their own devices (up to 5 devices concurrently). While you can freely use your key across your personal setup (e.g., home and work machines), sharing a single license with multiple individuals or teams is not permitted. If you reinstall the extension or shift profiles, it registers as a new device; simply email support@videotextcopy.com and we will reset your slots within 24 hours.
What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
The extension popup will instantly notify you when your monthly quota is exhausted. Your limits reset automatically on your billing anniversary each month (the same calendar date you originally subscribed).
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time directly within the extension. You will retain full access until the end of your current billing period. Since our Free Trial requires no payment details, it will automatically expire after 30 days or once your 10-use quota is reached — no cancellation needed.
Is my video content stored on your servers?
No. Image data is securely transmitted to our servers solely for real-time OCR processing. We never store, log, or share your screenshots. Your data and privacy are fully protected.
Is my extraction history private? Where is it stored?
Absolutely. To guarantee absolute privacy, your latest history is saved entirely locally on your machine. We do not sync or store your history on our servers. Please note that since the data lives entirely on your machine, uninstalling the extension will permanently clear these local records.
What should I do if I lose my license key?
You can easily retrieve it from your inbox — a confirmation email containing your key was sent immediately after purchase. Try searching for "VideoTextCopy". If you still cannot find it, please check your spam folder or reach out to support for assistance.
