Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Service, you represent that you have reached the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction and possess the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. If you have not reached the legal age of majority, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required under applicable law) and that you have reviewed these Terms with your parent or legal guardian, and that they agree to these Terms on your behalf. If you do not meet these requirements, you must immediately cease using the Service.

VideoTextCopy is a productivity tool designed to assist users in pausing videos, capturing screenshots, and extracting text from those screenshots using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology.

We utilise third-party commercial API providers to process images and extract text. You acknowledge and agree that the availability, processing speed, and recognition accuracy of the Service are dependent on the performance, technical limitations, and uptime of these external technology providers.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We shall not be held liable for any service interruptions, temporary downtime, or inaccuracies caused directly or indirectly by third-party platforms, their updates, or API modifications. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or limits any statutory warranties, guarantees, rights, or remedies that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Our Service acts strictly as a technical processing tool. We do not grant you any copyright, licence, or proprietary rights to the video content you screenshot or the text you extract. We do not host, stream, download, cache, or decrypt any video content.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable copyright laws, third-party platform terms of service, and the rights of copyright holders. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of applicable laws, third-party rights, or these Terms.

You acknowledge that certain video platforms utilise Digital Rights Management (DRM), anti-screenshot, or copy-protection mechanisms that may result in black screens or prevent our extension from functioning. We do not provide any means to, nor do we attempt to, bypass, circumvent, or disable any DRM or technical protection measures.

Because compatibility depends entirely on third-party websites, browsers, and security layers outside our reasonable control, we do not guarantee uninterrupted compatibility with all third-party websites. Service availability may change without liability to us due to technical updates, browser specification modifications, or platform policy shifts made by external entities.

If you purchase a premium subscription, your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (e.g., monthly) at the then-current price, unless you cancel it before the renewal date. We will provide you with reasonable prior notice of any price changes or automatic renewals as required by applicable law.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Paddle account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to the Service until then. All payments and subscription management are processed securely through our authorised third-party payment processor, Paddle.

Each user/device is granted a limited free trial of 10 (ten) extractions. You are strictly prohibited from bypassing this limit through unauthorised technical or procedural means, including but not limited to: resetting or manipulating browser identifiers, clearing cookies or browser storage to simulate a new device/profile, using alternative accounts, or utilising automated scripts, bots, or scrapers.

You further agree not to engage in reverse engineering, bulk extraction, or commercial reselling of the Service's outputs. To the extent permitted by law, we reserve the right, with or without prior notice, to temporarily suspend or permanently terminate access for any account exhibiting reasonable suspicion of fraud, abuse, or violation of this Policy.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles. Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve any dispute informally and in good faith.

To the extent permitted by law, any formal dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. If any court determines the class action waiver is unenforceable, the dispute must be resolved in a competent court within Singapore, to the extent permitted by law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

We respect your privacy. The Service may capture screenshots on your device and transmit them to premium third-party OCR API providers solely to perform the immediate text extraction service. We do not intentionally retain screenshots beyond the time reasonably necessary to perform the OCR extraction, subject to short-lived technical logs and security records.

We do not use your screenshots or extracted text for AI model training. We process data through third-party commercial API tiers or enterprise offerings designed or contractually configured not to use customer data for model training.

For full disclosure regarding data processing, cookies, server logs, payment collection, retention periods, and your rights under applicable law, please review our Privacy Policy. In the event of any inconsistency regarding data processing specifics, our Privacy Policy shall govern.

VideoTextCopy is a software product owned and operated by its creator. “VideoTextCopy” is a trademark of its creator.

All third-party trademarks, logos, product names, video platforms, and other proprietary materials referenced in the Service or in screenshots/tutorials are the property of their respective owners. VideoTextCopy does not claim ownership of any third-party content. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of the extension, including the access, extraction, or processing of video content, complies with applicable copyright laws, platform terms, and any required permissions.
