1.General Refund Policy
To cover the non-reversible infrastructure and server costs associated with commercial third-party OCR API processing, fees paid for premium plans or subscriptions are generally non-refundable once the paid service has been consumed.
We provide a 10-use free trial to all users so you can thoroughly test the extension's functionality and compatibility on your preferred video platforms before making a financial commitment.
Except as required by applicable law, fees paid for services already consumed are non-refundable. A full refund may be requested within twenty-four (24) hours of the initial purchase, provided that zero (0) paid OCR extractions have been performed.
For the purposes of this Policy, a "paid OCR extraction" is defined as any text extraction executed after a paid subscription has commenced where the OCR service successfully completed its technical execution cycle, regardless of the qualitative output, accuracy, or usefulness of the extracted text. Refund eligibility for failed, partial, or blank results will be assessed case-by-case based on the underlying technical cause of the failure.
Note: Nothing in this Policy affects any non-waivable consumer rights under applicable law.
2.Statutory Rights (EU / UK Consumers Notice)
Where applicable law permits, consumers located in the European Union (EU) or the United Kingdom (UK) may possess a statutory right of withdrawal from digital purchases within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason, subject to the conditions set out in this Section.
Where applicable law permits, and only if you have expressly requested immediate performance and acknowledged the consequences at checkout, the statutory withdrawal right will not apply once performance has begun.
By purchasing a premium plan and requesting immediate performance at checkout, you acknowledge that you consent to immediate access and that your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal will no longer apply once digital performance has commenced — as reflected by your initiation of a paid extraction — subject to applicable law.
If you have purchased a plan but have not initiated any paid usage (zero paid extractions performed and no digital performance commenced), you may exercise your right to withdraw and request a full refund within fourteen (14) days of purchase.
3.Technical Limitations and Compatibility
Because video player compatibility depends entirely on third-party websites, web browsers, and security layers outside our control, refunds are generally not provided for incompatibility caused by third-party platform updates, DRM, or anti-screenshot measures implemented after your purchase, except where required by law.
We strongly recommend utilising your 10 free trial extractions to verify compatibility on the platforms you frequent prior to purchasing a subscription.
4.Refund Processing and Timelines
If you qualify for a refund under the criteria set out in this Policy (e.g., accidental purchase with zero usage within 24 hours, or EU/UK statutory withdrawal with zero paid usage), please contact our support team at support@videotextcopy.com.
Refund requests must include your purchase receipt and account identifiers. We reserve the right to require reasonable identity verification or usage log audits to prevent fraudulent refund claims.
Approved refunds will be processed and credited back to the original payment method within seven (7) to ten (10) business days, subject to the processing timelines of your financial institution.
